GEN018IMPLEMENTING AN ALTERNATE WATER SUPPLY PROGRAMA Key component for investing in alternate water supply programs involves an improvement in the Insurance Services Office(ISO) rating for a community. This program discusses the impact on a community when a fire department applies to improve their rating. Also included are chapters on identifying water supply sites and modifying those sites to ensure water availability throughout the changing seasons, training within the fire department and among mutual aid departments to develop a strong, uninterrupted flow of water to the incident, and adapting plans for rural communities and those undergoing change. Included in this broadcast are case studies and an overview segment that can be used to initiate discussions about alternate water supply programs within a community.
