STATEWIDE BACKGROUND CHECKS/INVESTIGATIONS
This series contains correspondence and results of statewide background investigations of publicly available information (i.e. court records, offender registries, etc.) used to apply for a job, apply for an apartment, or may be program specific (i.e. applying for a license, permit, registration). Background checks can include a ND (state crimes) record check, but are not the same as a criminal history record check under NDCC 12-60-24 (see RCN 501202 for records of agencies addressed in NDCC 12-60-24).
